Why a Dairy Fest?
Dairy Fest KZN was created in 2024 by the MPO KZN Committee as a way to highlight the plight of the dairy industry and to increase public awareness of dairy and its benefits. The festival was created to celebrate dairy, the culture of the dairy farming communities and to show support to the surrounding communities that rely on the dairy industry in the KZN Midlands.
The inaugural Dairy Fest in August 2024 was a wonderful first festival with thousands of visitors enjoying the festivities which included live bands, milkshake drinking competitions, a lively market and sporting events.
