Postponement of MPO Dairy Fest 2025 due to Foot and Mouth Disease Concerns
The Milk Producers’ Organisation (MPO) regrets to announce the postponement of the highly anticipated MPO Dairy Fest 2025, which was originally scheduled to take place from 23-24 August 2025 at Fordoun Farm Village.
This decision follows careful consultation with agricultural authorities and key stakeholders in light of the ongoing Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak in KwaZulu-Natal. The MPO’s foremost priority is the health and safety of local livestock and the economic stability of our farming communities.

Postponing the event is a precautionary step to help protect the region’s farmers and safeguard both the provincial and national agricultural economy from further strain.
The MPO is currently working to confirm new dates for the event, with plans to reschedule the Dairy Fest for Quarter 2 of 2026. All existing sponsorships, vendor agreements, and ticket purchases will automatically carry over to the new event date.
“We understand the disappointment this may cause, but we believe this is a necessary step to prioritise the wellbeing of our farmers and the broader agricultural industry,” said Sandra Berning, MPO KZN Chairperson and Dairy Fest Organising Committee.
Further updates will be communicated as soon as they become available.
