Georgetown

Georgetown is a captivating multi-instrumental Bluebilly Folk Pop band hailing from Pretoria, South Africa. Formed in February 2014, the talented quartet—comprising Michael de Villiers, Renaldo van Dyk, Rynier Prins, and Tiaan Erasmus—has made significant waves with their unique blend of classic folk sensibilities and distinctive local influences.

Known for their compelling storytelling and rich soundscapes, Georgetown’s performances are a true showcase of musical versatility. They incorporate a fascinating array of instruments, including acoustic guitar, piano, upright bass, mandolin, harmonica, washboard, and even a vintage suitcase kick-drum, creating a distinctive and creative sound within contemporary folk music.
